On the 115th anniversary of its foundation, in 2011, Rába opened the Technology Center and set up a demonstration center in addition to a state-of-the-art research and development base.
The unique company history collection shown here lists Rába’s emblematic products from the beginning of the 20th century to the present.
The 1,400-square-meter showroom also housed vehicle rarities such as the company’s very first production in 1897, the bus of the 1940s, and the only surviving specimen of the most successful off-road military vehicle of World War II, the Rába Botond.
Through the richly illustrated posters and the artefacts preserved in the showcases, the centuries-old history of Rába, the industrial history of Győr and important chapters of the Hungarian automotive industry come to life. Visitors can learn about the company’s latest developments and the products that Rába supplies to leading companies in the global automotive industry today.
The demonstration center has no official opening hours, but can be visited free of charge at an agreed time by prior arrangement.
