Technology Centre

Technology Centre

In 2011, on the 115th anniversary of its foundation, Rába opened the Technology Centre. In the institute, the company has also set up a demonstration centre, alongside a research and development base equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.

The unique collection of company history on display here brings together emblematic Rába products from the early 20th century to the present day. The 1,400 square metre showroom also houses such vehicle rarities as the company's very first vehicle from 1897, the ETO athletes' bus from the 1940s, or the only surviving example of the most successful off-road vehicle of World War II, the Rába Botond.

Through the richly illustrated tables and the objects preserved in the display cases, the centuries-old history of Rába, the history of the Győr industry and important chapters of the Hungarian automotive industry come to life. Visitors can learn about the latest developments of the company and the products that Rába supplies to the leading companies of the global automotive industry today.

The showroom is open to the public by appointment and free of charge. Visiting hours are on Thursdays in even-numbered calendar weeks and Fridays in odd-numbered calendar weeks, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., except in exceptional cases. Guided tours are available twice daily, the last one starting at 16:00. As the exhibition hall is located in a working area, to ensure guided tours and access, please book at least two days in advance at tc@raba.hu by e-mail. Visits are also suspended during company events or shutdowns.
